MoFA RI Has Started Distribuiting 10 Civil Servant to Continue Internship in Indonesia Government Institusions During One Half Month

To increase coordination and adjustment knowledge at the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) level, representatives of ten Timorese civil servants apprenticed at the relevant Ministry in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenlu-RI) has started distributing ten (10) civil servants from Timor-Leste who are representatives of the relevant ministries that handle the ASEAN Social and Cultural Affairs of Timor-Leste apprenticeships at ten Ministry places, related parties and government agencies in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The plan is for the ten civil servants in the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Affairs of Timor-Leste to start their internship from 14 July to 01 September 2023. The aim is to increase coordination knowledge at the ASEAN level.
In the press release it was explained, the purpose of the distribution was to increase procedural knowledge, functions and work assignments in Ministries and Agencies, so as to increase coordination knowledge, adjustments at the ASEAN level.
“With the division of the TL employee representatives, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked the apprentices to focus and learn techniques well from the agency. So that we can increase knowledge and also be able to find out the legal framework regarding ASEAN, in holding meetings with working mechanisms,” wrote the press release.
The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked each agency representative to provide and better teach apprentices about the ASEAN process.
Before starting the internship, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs team through the Directorate of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Cooperation conducted a briefing in advance to each representative of the relevant ministries in Jakarta.
In the briefing, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Directorate of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Cooperation decided that civil servant representatives from the Timor-Leste Civil Service Agency (KFP) would be apprenticed at the Indonesian State Personnel Agency (BKN). Furthermore, representatives of civil servants from the State Secretariat for Arts and Culture TL did internships at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Indonesia.
Meanwhile, a civil servant representative from the State Secretariat for Environmental Affairs TL did an internship at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Indonesia. Furthermore, a civil servant representative from the State Secretariat for Professional Training and Employment (SEFOPE) TL did an internship at the Ministry of Manpower, Indonesia.
On the other hand, representatives of civil servants from the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Inclusiveness (MSSI) and the Secretariat of State for Equality and Inclusive Affairs (SEII) TL did internships at the Indonesian Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection.
Meanwhile, representatives of civil servants from the State Secretariat for Youth and Sports Affairs (SEJD) TL did internships with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Meanwhile, representatives of civil servants from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) TL do internships at the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
Furthermore, a civil servant representative from the TL Civil Protection Authority (APC) did an internship at the Indonesian National Agency for Natural Disaster Management. Meanwhile, representatives of civil servants from the Ministry of State Administration (MAE) TL did an internship at the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration, Indonesia.
